Curatorial Assistant, Workshop Designer and Facilitator

Gymnasium was a contemporary art commissioning programme which took place between Summer 2015 to Spring 2016 at the University of Lincoln and formed part of the city’s celebratory events in the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta. 

 

The three new commissions focused upon bringing new contemporary art into fabric of the city, focusing on the concept of ‘Imagining possible futures’ that aimed to engage audiences with new works in public locations throughout Lincoln.

 

The artists that formed the commissioning programme were Ruth Ewan (Glasgow), Annika Eriksson (Berlin), and Raqs Media Collective (New Delhi).

 

For each of these commissions there was a series of associated talks and workshops which Director, Sophia Kyprianou was heavily involved with, designing and facilitating a variety of sessions that engaged audiences of all ages and abilities both in the public realm and the university.
