Workshop Facilitator (2019)

 

Working in collaboration with the Ron Todd Foundation, A mile in their shoes was a workshop for the South West Unison Conference in Taunton in September 2019. During this session members of the union were invited to bring a pair of old shoes that they did not want to wear again. 

 

Throughout the session the idea was to share stories of the journeys' that people have taken, a metaphorical ‘mile in their shoes’ as it were and whilst doing so carrying out some guerrilla gardening with the shoes they brought.

 

Again the focus of the sessions was very much around community and creativity, creating a welcoming and open environment where participants felt comfortable to share their stories, build communities and take something away with them that means something to then as well as being able to pass onto others.
